Turns out this guy has more to do tonight than me.  I had tickets to the Big East Tournament Championship Game at Madison Square Garden, but Droppa Deuce is fighting to stop the flood in his basement from all of this godforsaken rain we are having so we had to let them go.  So now I get to watch it on my TV by myself...awesome.  Oh well I am sure it won't be a fun game to watch anyway.  At least the Duke show is over and the dudes can pull their pants back up.

Anyway, a solid win for VT, even if everyone's beating Carolina these days - still one game ahead of even in terms of home/road record. If we can beat Clemson on Saturday (if the game even happens then given the snow), we'll be in excellent shape for finishing .500 in the ACC. Maybe we could even make the Tournament this time!

In other news, the Terps picked up an even better win tonight, knocking off a solid opponent on the road, particularly with Mosley being held to one point while Derwin Kitchen was having one of those annoying "role player randomly turns into superstar" nights (29 points on 16 shots & 2 FTs?!). If they take care of business at home against Carolina and Virginia, they'll be 7-2 in the ACC going into the big game against You Know Who next weekend.

Granted Indiana is not exactly the powerhouse from the old Gene Hackman movie anymore but still sort of a big deal. Fucking Rutgers knocked the mighty Peacocks below .500 when things were looking up for them too but at least one horrible basketball program got a big win.

This is who they gave up their 1st round for? I am not going to pretend I understand or care about the NBA Draft, but if you were one of the worst teams in the league, wouldn' t you want to get some players that, I don't know, didn't get traded around the league for the past 9 years averaging 9 pts a game??

Todays the Day...

...Greivis Vasquez declares if he's staying in the draft or coming back to MD to fuck around and grab another couple triple doubles. As a Terps fan I would love him to come back, he will make the team immensely better, but as a Vasquez supporter (and I know there are ignorant haters lying in the grass on this very blog) I just hope he makes the right choice. If he stays in I hope he gets drafted and sticks with a team. I honestly think the kid has a bright NBA future ahead of him and just hasn't had much to work with at MD. That game vs UNC last year was one of the most dominant all around games by a single player I have ever seen in college basketball. Fingers crossed things work out for the best.
