This made me think of Head and KOTJ(where the fuck is that guy?) and how jackals tend to belittle vegetarian jackals. I had no idea sabreteeth could ever have been wasted on vegetables, but that's what scientists are for.

ReplyDeleteI would like to be a true vegan (which I have managed for short periods of time) if I could, but in reality I am a creature of opportunity. A scavenger, if you will, At the same time I fulfill my role at the top of the food chain, I cherish my role at the bottom.
And this is a wee bit truer than it may be living in AK.
Humans are normally the top of the food chain, but not when Grizzly Bears and Wolves are prowling around. And little known fact, Moose are as dangerous or considered more dangerous than Brown Bears by many who live up here.
This entails being flexible and rolling with the punches. If free food presents itself to me, in whatever form, I must not hesitate.
So watch out moths, ants, grasshoppers, worms, insects in general, moose, caribou, salmon, burbot, halibut, rabbit,
etc, etc, etc, my post is fucked.
