Rusty Teez Nutz

Yo, Rusty T. We missed you in the woods last weekend. Although, I probably would have been kindling if you had been there.

In other news, I thought you'd appreciate what Head's boy Paul Krugman pointed out about the kielbasa you and the rest of America had to choke down last week. In case you don't want to click the link and get yo knowledge on, here's a key to help decipher this here graph:

Key:
JGTRRA - Bush Tax Cut #1(fuck you, middle class)
EGTRRA - Bush Tax Cut #2(fuck you, middle class a.k.a. Jackal's Den, OBD, SS's grandjackal, etc.)
Iraq - Iraq War
PPACA - Obama Healthcare reform

Tax cuts sound really great when it's time to vote, but they're not good for surpluses.

  1. I'm not trying to pile on Rusty T per se, but I will say that Bush's actions (the ones above plus the Medicare Prescription Drug benefit, which might have been the most egregious of all) have infinitely more to do with our dire fiscal situation right now than anything Obama has done. Federal deficits should really be countercyclical; we should be running surpluses (or small deficits) when the economy is growing and running big deficits when it's shrinking. But by running massive deficits when the economy was growing, Bush left us no out when the economy tanked (and oh man did it ever).

P.S. Now I'm going to pile on RTB: The individual mandate is constitutional. But my promise of beer if it's overturned (and I'm guessing a challenge will make it to the Supreme Court someday) still stands.
